Apparently there is a session of Uke workshops, that should be a bit of fun.

Suggestion maybe ?
It seems to me that some that are wanting to attend the get together at Easter are already booked for STC.
Perhaps it may be worth considering shifting the date forward or backward slightly to accommodate those people ?
One possibility is Camp Kurrajong, 8 klms out of Wagga Wagga, 13 acres so plenty of room

I think the reason some are going to STCs is that the thread stalled and no decision could be made for an OZeRV UWE

For some of us it could be a bit late to arrange more time off work to attend an alternative UWE either side of Easter.

No one seems to want to make the effort to get one going, doesn't have to be Easter but some time near there. Someone just pick a spot say what's there ie water dump point near by town and space. Take pot luck and see who turns up.

I doubt if I'll ever be involved in organizing one or attending one. There always seems to be some head banging involved & I don't enjoy that.
Any group function organized is not sanctioned by me or the forum as a whole. Sorry!!
I know I'm not the only one thinking along these lines but believe me, there are others too.

UWEs, Gatherings, Get-togethers , or whatever else you'd like to call them are not for everybody.
Lots of ppl prefer to get about and do their own thing on an individual basis without having to mix with a particular group.
That's great, we all have a choice.
That said, there are many others who love the concept of sitting around chatting about their experiences, family, the car or the dog. That's great, we all have a choice.

To my knowledge no forum or individual has ever sanctioned or personally supported a UWE or such, certainly not in any I have been involved in. There are simply too many things that can happen to cause unpleasant consequences for an 'official' organiser.
Any UWEs I've been involved in were simply a matter of someone saying "Hey, who wants to meet up at ..........." and it goes from there. No official involvement of any kind is required.

Perhaps add a disclaimer at the front of this thread to distance yourself and the Forum as a whole from any arrangements made by members.

Lance & Annee yours have always been great.

It's the people that make these things work Kay. Maybe we'll catch up with you and Bruce at the next one.

They can be a lot of fun as we have found out.
BUT, they can also be ruined by others trying to "take over" the event.
If it is just a group wanting to get together for some experience swapping I don't think it requires a lot of regulation.
Just let it happen if it is going to, works for us
