Maybe, he's all part of the Donald's retaliation program. If I recall anywhere near correctly, all those that didn't support him last time he was POTUS, they will suffer his wrath.
At the end of the day, it is US politics and whatever we think, say, or do, matters for nought in the grand scale of things..
Having said that, I care less for Musk than I do for the Donald.
I think they are both spoilt little rich kids that needed a serious boot up the butt when they were younger so they learnt how to play nice with others .... living in a world of lies and make believe will lose you all your true friends and just leave the hangers on that hope you will throw some money their way, not realising that the assumed wealth is nothing more than an illusion while they live in a fool's paradise. You can't actually be rich by living on borrowed money, you need the assets and income to support it.
Those that think this will not flow onto Australia are deluding themselves. Like it or not, Australia is part of a world economy and anything that affects the smooth flow of goods and finance in the rest of the world, will certainly impact us.
Our exports rely on digging it up or growing it, we do have value added products now and a market for those goods, but they are the ones that get thrashed as soon as an economic storm looms anywhere .... like how I tied that into the hurricane that can't make up it's mind where to strike?

Trump is urging MAGA members to buy a Tesla to save his mate Elon Musk from going belly up

As if any of them still have a job and want to live in a Tesla cause they can't afford to pay rent
Meanwhile Elon has a plan to fix the company that sort of looks like this
Then a miracle happns.jpeg

Looking at the headlines today, Musk reveals he is worried about the USA being on the border of financial collapse with the interest only on govt debt now higher than the defence budget ......
More likely, Elon is worried that the USA won't be able to pay the $18 mill a day the govt is signed up to pay him for the contracts he holds ....... then the house of credit cards will come tumbling down, taking out a number of major financial lending institutions with it ...... the US Govt is in no position to borrow money to pay them out like last time, those still holding US debt are scrambling to sell it while it's still worth the paper it's written on ......

I think US Government bonds are written with the same ink used on cash register receipts which you are required to produce 11 months later in a warranty claim…
When you fish it out of your filing system (you DO file them, right?) it’s blank.
Personally, I copy those receipts on my inkjet printer/scanner and staple the original to the copy.

News today that four Tesla cars were torched overnight in Berlin. Four others in Berlin suffered the same fate in January & February.
Also, while the EV sales in Germany are growing, sales of Tesla cars has dropped 72% compared to the first quarter of last year.
I wonder if this has anything to do with Trump’s sycophant-in-chief’s “not a Nazi salute” and his support of the neo-Nazi AfD party in the German elections.

ps. Did you watch the White House sales pitch for Tesla (despite it being illegal to use US Government property for commercial purposes)?
When the Mango Madman demonstrated the toughness of the Cybertruck by tapping on the flank… the side panel fell off!

So much for Quality Control.

Didn't see that, but I did see him state that he hasn't been allowed to drive for 10 yrs, Samuel L Jackson immediately came back with the quip, "It's not that he isn't allowed to drive he can't drive ...... he can barely putt" ....... it follows on from a long running feud on Trump's part claiming he didn't know Jakson, even though there was a photo of the pair of them in a golf cart ...... one of his prior digs was after Trump shot off the tee and it landed in the middle of the lake between the holes, one of his own entourage called out that he had his ball marked, and Jackson replied ..... "well, are you going to at least offer him a towel?"
