Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Morning all.

Getting ready for the heat - 47c - smoke & the possibility of fires approaching... 2 or 3 could be a problem depending on how the wind affects each one.

Youngest daughter, Simone, & tribe living at Ilford, roughly equal distance between Bathurst, Lithgow & Mudgee is packed & on tippy toes. Partner Leon is a volunteer firey & has been out fighting them for the past 3 days & nights... managed about 4 hrs between shift... kinda knackered now. Only problem for her is the possibility that all roads in the area may well be closed!!!

Good morning all Chuck sure hope Simone remains safe and can remember 2013 when we were in WA listening about fires with Michelle in your home. Fingers crossed the wind does not turn fires your way as way nearly on the phone to you while watching the news as various times yesterday.

Morning all.

Simone called around 2300 hrs yesterday to advise that 5 of them were leaving - Leon not included as he still fighting fires with the rest of the hero mob - as the winds had turned the wrong way! The went to a friends place at Mudgee arriving 0030. She was quite emotional about leaving whilst Leon was on the fire scenes but realised the importance at that time was the kids safety.

This morning she called again to say they had returned home & all there was as she left it. Will see if the wind does the right thing today - if not - off to Mudgee again!

No problems at our end other than a bit of smoke & the hight temps yesterday... but the power stayed on so the aircon did a fine job.
