After a great night here at Loxton at Riverlander's with also Basilbunyip (CF) we are heading over to Mannum to-day to visit friends on their houseboat. So busy we need a holiday. Feel rather special as Faye & John cut short their few days away to be home when we passed through here.

Still in Marlo Vic. and it's still raining, only trouble now it's raining inside the van as well so NOT HAPPY JAN? We have had it fixed twice already and each time it's another area of the roof that springs a leak but this time is more than a bl......dy leak  have tarps over it heater on full blast to try and dry things out , looks like a while new complete seal job is going to be required when we get home and that not's going to be cheap so p...ss off at present this van is only 21/2 years old. We have no come back on the manufacture as this Regent was from the ones that went broke and we lost our warranty . So Its fix it up and get on with it not much else we can do. Crying takes up to much energy . The caravan industry needs a very big shake up they apparently have used the wrong glue to seal the van and as time passes it is breaking down.

Cheers Ros.

"tanks" here Ros---
How about that Thermoseal paint stuff. I read somewhere that it seals and has been used to stop leaks. I think you had to use twice as much to seal the roof than was used just to insulate the roof. It's not cheap but would not cost as much as having a new roof put on the van if it is able to give a good waterproof seal.
You can apply the paint yourself by roller or brush,or pay to have it done by a contractor who does that sort of work. The supplier would be able to direct you in that direction as they have a list of contractors who have application experience and who they recommend.
It might be worth a call to the supplier and ask a few questions.

I plan to have another birthday next year.

So sorry to hear of your ongoing problems, Ros. You are right that the industry needs a good kick up the pants but I can't see it happening. We are thinking long and hard about a new van build and looking at some of the more modern components and build techniques. But it is still a bloody lottery!! Hope you dry out soon.
Cheers

At Ashburne with Dot & George. Catriana & Chuck and Lyn & Bob. Had to drive 90k to-day to but a new door catch as ours was accidently broken by a friend Monday. Four men here can not get it back together!
