Hi Shirley,
I have three detectors, the new GPZ 7000 is the one I'm using this season. I also have a GPX 5000 and a X-terra 705. The x-terra is what I use at the beach and parks. All great machines but not cheap. But then again there are not too many hobbies you can earn a few bucks with.

Dot,
Tom got 2 pieces. The fuel pump is not a problem if you authorize more than what you use. It only charges you the amount you use. We are now parked up in Leinster to chase some yella.

Only 60km to travel? You only had 100 metres when you were in Murray Bridge and I still didn't see you!
(I think it was you?)
Dianna too but then I never did expect her to come visit!!

We left our gravel pit early this morning 0830hrs and for those that know me that is the middle of the night but we knew it was going to be a stinker of a day so thought we would get a head start. Got to Leonora at around 1030hrs and went to the Info centre but Closed weekends  so went for a stroll up and down the deserted streets before refuelling at the Shell station 149cpl and asked the man there where was a good spot to park up for lunch and he told us that he was the caretaker of the sports ground and there were a couple of largish trees there we could park under :D Seeing as it was getting hotter and hotter we decided to stop the night and do the tourist stuff tomorrow so G asked the nice man if it would be ok to stay the night and he said "sure" Had some bits of shopping to do and with there being just the one shop in we went and wow the prices  so we bought the minimum needed. 1lt milk was $3.75 BUT at the shell ss it was $2.00 :? so guess where we did a bit of shopping? It is now 1700hrs and the temp has started to come down which is a blessing, even my pussies were panting a bit ;) . Early start again tomorrow

Are you going to do the Great Central Road Dottie? That starts from Leonora and heads out to the Alice... sort of, a great drive I'm told :)

That is a FIRM "NO" Terry. No more dusty roads in the bus. She handled the roads well but the amount of bull dust is a never ending so any dirt road trips will be done in car and tent...

The sunset from the top pic to the bottom one took a total of 35 seconds. Took Brian for a walk and he did his LNT in the red dirt then went for a walk on the footy ground which is nice and green. :D

Ah Dot the dust will vac out of the bus. You are missing out on a great trip through the GCR. Hugs to you both from Beautiful QLD.
There was not a lot of Bull dust-sand & mainly good solid road.

Back in range again after a couple of days at Niagara Dam. Was going along the road into the dam when we saw a MH we recognised, as we came along side it was good ol Darryl & Annette so they turned around and spent the night back at the dam with us. More later have to get moving before it gets toooooo hot. Currently stopped for lunch at Menzies heading to Kal tomorrow for a few days then Norseman for a few more days (in our special gravel pit) then crawl across the Nulla when the winds are right. If the man with the dog is still stuck I shall take the dog :) :) Here are a few pics of the old mine meseum at Gwalia and also the present gold mine there, they say each truck load out of there 2ks underground is worth around 11k and there is no sign of it stopping. This pit is is over 300mts deep.
