Shall try Deborah :) It is freezing here tonight , will have head winds over the Nulla but the temps will be ok for a few days. Tomorrow morning nice long shower, will be pumping the tyres up to 95psi , topping up the genny , tanks with water and doing a dump and lastly refuelling. There are 3 caravans 2 MH (incl us) and 2 cars in tonight.. All the washing done so no more for a while. Our extra fridge/freezer has performed very well and has been worth every cent. The pussies got some fantastic roo while in Geraldton so at $3.30kg we stacked the freezer to the brim. Time for bed e buys so catch yus when able. So behave in the sandpit..

Safe travels Dot.
Sometimes the wind drops at night but then you might have wildlife to contend with.
Cool air at night is worth several horsepower and gives better fuel consumption.
How strong is your bullbar? lol

Not how strong the bull bar is but how strong are our guts? Might give the night driving a go need to see just how good these driving lights are... In Noresman getting the tyres pumped up to 95psi. It was dam cold last night, woke up having to put the spare blanket back on.

Get up behind a road train. They will give you a windbreak and stop your bullbar getting damaged. Plus you wont get to see the carnage

Dot and George
The Nullabor at night is fantastic. Stop during the night and enjoy the wildlife as opposed to 'driving and kill them'. The campsites over the Great Southern Ocean are fantastic, and should by now be filled with used toilet rolls by CMCA Members travelling to their Albany Rally. :(
Enjoy the journey

Jon I used to enjoy the night time dry storms that quite often roll in from the Southern Ocean. Mostly between Cocklebiddy & Norseman.
Hundreds of lightning strikes all around you but very seldom have any water in them.
Something to do with the cool air hitting the warm air over land I think.

We left Norseman rather late today (1430hrs) (got talking) but before we left we went to the cop shop as I was concerned about a man in a car that had pulled in to the stop last night around 7pm and this morning he was still there, no loos at the stop and had not seen him out of the car at all. G did a walk past and said the fella was sitting in the drivers seat just looking ahead?? Then he got out of the car for about 10 secs then got back in. Seeing our car was off the bus G did a run back out to the stop and the car was still there and the man still in the drivers seat??? I had taken the rego # etc and gave it to the copper who said he will go and do a check out there.. Just strange to me that a lone male in the same spot for all that time ??? Anyway now stopped at rest area #27 Camps 6 . 10 mile rocks. Large area with plenty of good sized trees , bins and loos. As usual the bush roses are in full bloom. G was a gentleman at the info centre, there were 3 wiz bangs with 1 aged lady in each vehicle, (cmca solos) a couple of them could hardly walk let alone lift and empty their loos, yes he did it for them :) because they had parked all around the water tap he connected our long hose and proceeded to fill all of their water tanks so we could get in closer to the tap. That took over an hr, he's a good lad is George.. I like Chucks motto when it comes to emptying loos for other people i.e. "your shit you empty it" :) Having a chuckle watching the caravan people sitting outside and waving like mad things with a fly swat to keep the flies at bay. so entertaining, nearly as good as watching the backing and levelling antics. Beautiful day today weather wise just right, not too hot and not too cold but bloody windy with flies.. :) Might do a tad of a small run one night just to experience it and at a much slower speed than the trucks (just in case)...Seeing a few more MH's with the cmca sticker on now and some I might add that think theirs don't stink, no speaky when one says hello to them (but hang on, they are in the shiny new winnies) :) :) It is starting to get some more rigs in now might be in for an interesting evening.
