Re: Good morning daily
Good morning all. back from Woolies, my butcher & fruit shop by 8am. Bruce put kettle on thinking it was cuppa time so will have another at 10am. Woolies almost empty, plenty of toot paper, tissues and paper towels but no sugar- and that is a catastrophe!
4 pork sausages, a bacon hock, 4 pieces of rib fillet and a very small Rack of Lamb roast- $69. He was lucky because the Bulla (Australian) icecream is on special so grabbed the limit of 2.

Re: Good morning daily
Helen, we are caretaking a farm in Mutchilba Qld after our previous house sit finished unexpectedly early due to Covid 19, & our plans to drive up Cape York were thwarted for the same reason.
Missie is still in the pen this morning & still alive. We think Rodney protects her if Hettie gets too full on, but she also has the advantage of being able to fly up to a higher perch where Hettie can't go.

Re: Good morning daily
Cuppa, my g'mother who lived to be 94 yrs always loved pottering in her garden & always around her feet was a pet bantam who never resided in Nana's huge chook yard, always roosted at night in a tree, your posts have brought back fond memories.

She just laid her eggs in the garden.

Re: Good morning daily
Well Shirley & all, she spent the day in the chook run with the others. That is until our resident chook expert (not me) thought she would let the 3 out fully expecting Missie to go back in at dusk with the other two. I considered suggesting that this may be unwise, but who am I to dare question the expert. Later the words "I may have miscalculated" were heard. Missie is tonight back up a tree. Tomorrow will be another day. The entertainment here is rivetting!
