Col, I have been lactose intolerant, had pernicious anemia for 30 yrs & the last few years been on thyroxine for under active thyroid all symptoms of Coeliac disease or Celiac as it is also called, I didn't really realise that I was as unwell just thought it old age but feel so much better since being diagnosed & starting the gluten free diet, it was the weight loss that concerned my GP.

Re: Dot & Georges .
We have a quasi grand daughter who has been diagnosed with Celiac disorder and she has really changed in her health and look of well being since going on the strict diet. While reading up on the disorder I found research that showed an intestinal parasite commonly found many yrs ago excreted an enzyme that controlled the problem related to the bodies reaction to gluten and the rise in the disorder is likely to be the result of eradicating these intestinal parasites in an attempt to improve our health.... the problem is made worse not better. They are now working on creating a synthetic model of the enzyme for a trial some time late this yr or early next yrs, so there is hope of returning to a normal diet.

Our daughter has Alopaecia. Over the years she has been to Dermatologists, Chinese Herbalists, Physicians,GPs, Naturopaths, Any other type of person you can name. She got onto the Alopaecia Assoc of Aust & read about no GLuten. Tried it for 12 mths with no further hair loss, 12 mths back to normal diet & almost bald again, been gluten free now for probably 3 years & hair returning which is wonderful news so it does work & she will be staying Gluten free. Got so bad a few years ago that she wore wigs to go to work & when they went out.
Time is passing too quickly so live life to the full with your spouse/partner while you still have she/he by your side.

Apparently the skin disorder psoriasis (red flaky circles) are a sign of Celiac disorder as well so not surprising that scalp conditions are association with it as well.

Find the comment re psoriasis interesting Terry, my mother suffered psoriasis developed it at 52 yrs after she lost both her mother & brother (only family) in the one year, at one time she had it almost all over her body, we later found out that her g'mother & a couple of female cousins in NZ had also suffered with it.

Re: Dot & Georges .
I had a dose of that psoriasis a few yrs ago, dermatologist said stress can bring it on,
Went into look around the town today and check out that satking agent !! well asked about it but the lady had NO idea what we were talking about, said her husb was the tech guru and wasn't in today Oh well
Interesting people yelling etc in the street and in general being themselves till the paddy wagon turned up
The cool change came in at last at (6pm)so we went for a stroll along the beach front just 100mts away at the most. Heading off tomorrow now the nasty hot weather has passed for a few days. This caravan park has been good as far as they go, Plenty of space, very very clean loos and showers, (G has to do the testing) I use the bus's conveniences. Trees all around the place, close to the Beach and quiet. $33 pr night (powered), and a dump point. Car wash facility at $4. (The Shelly Beach Caravan Park) Ceduna. Just had a dozed or so spots of rain

Re: Dot & Georges .
"tanks" here---
I have heard from a few people that PARAMAO ROOT OIL does wonders for the conditions you mention.
Jeffs partner has used it with good results.
see: http://www.naturaloilsolutionc.com
I think it is produced in Indonesia. Might be worth a look.
Keith
that should read www.naturaloilsolutions.com and not naturaloilsolutionc.com

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
