Re: Good morning daily
Good to know that the Devilbiss Blue is now available in Oz Peter. One Oz site I just looked at has it for sale at $1199 with the humidifier, which is about what I paid for mine 2.5 years ago from the US including freight.
Dave, Gina seems to continue to be increasingly relaxed as she adapts to the new rules. It seems thatbthe main isue with her as a working dog was that unlike the other dogs who continued to work as long as they were told to, she would decide she'd had enough & go sit in the cattle trough or similar (as well as leg biting). Here she is having to adapt to being less controlled by humans & making more of here own decisions. The working dogs seemed very happy & healthy, but essentially did *nothing* without first being told or given permission. They & Gina have only ever been fed dried working dog kibble (Cobber) & we made the mistake of giving her a little of the trimmings off some steak yesterday. Come mealtime (evening) she wouldn't even look at the Cobber) so went to bed hungry. We worried she might be sick but left feeding her to just before dark this evening & thankfully she ate a reasonable amount. The instructions on the sack say for a dog 10kg to 25kg between 1 & 2.5 cups of kibble per day, which doesn't seem much at all for a working dog. Well she's not working now & I estimate she ate about 1.5 cups & that was it, there was still food in the bowl, but she had had what she wanted & no amount of encouragement was going to get her eat any more. She is certainly not lacking in energy!

Re: Good morning daily
Morning all, still dark outside and looks like off everywhere, but that will burn off soon enough. Was supposed to get down to 4 deg last night and I reckon it did. We had a great fire in the choofer last night. I found some yellow box that I had forgot I stashed under mh. Looks like another beautiful day in paradise heading our way in down town Mulwala.
We will take Bandit for a walk when the fog is gone.
Have a nice day everyone.

Re: Good morning daily
Chilly early morning here , seems Gina is very well trained & adjusting to new routines . Know of a dog in similar circumstances but the owner died and nobody knows what voice commands were used first week was stupid till the new owners worked out some of the commands . She’d bring all the cows back to the dairy any time of the day loved it . Hopefully it will get to the forecast 17-18 today yesterday was nice . Ross

Re: Good morning daily
Strewth it's cold. It was ok under the doona so long as we didn't let any drafts in, but once up at 6am I've had my warm dressing gown on, & MrsTea has put on long pants & 3 top layers including a woolly jumper! (And has suggested it may be time to get her winter 'pile jacket' out of the Tvan!) It is reminiscent of the icy temperatures we experienced in Central Australia a couple of years ago. It's not supposed to get this cold in the tropical north. Checked phone for current temperature and no it's not 0deg.C , which explains the lack of frost outside! We've become a pair of Tropical Woosies! It is 16 deg.C. Sun is coming up over the hill to our east & todays top temp is forecast to 27 deg.C. Brrrr

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning all, I had my 2nd night in my own bed, woke at 4am and downed a Celebrex to ease the pain, managed to get back to sleep until 6am when I found it necessary to take an Endone and 2 Panadol to get me through to 8am. I'm finding that my ribs don't like lying in bed but throughout the day, while standing or walking, the pain is minimal. A phone consult with the anaesthetist in preparation for Friday's cheek surgery is planned for sometime between 8 and 5 today so something to look forward to
 .
14* and showers at the moment with 19* forecast, suits me fine.
I'm with you Bruce, if it is cold you just have to work harder or walk faster to get warm but when it is hot there is little you can do to cool off unless you are on the dole or something and can go to the beach if the sand isn't too hot to walk on.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning 15, sunny on the lake, rained heavy o'night, sunny at the moment with grey clouds so expecting more showers.
Good that your surgery is going ahead Friday George, sooner it's done the sooner you'll be recovered & fighting fit again, good luck.
