Caravan passed rego y'day but not going anywhere, still essential travel only. Our local Woolies & Chemist have relaxed their set up somewhat but shoppers still obeying distancing, most products available, no Irish Moss medicine anywhere.
Good morning daily

Re: Good morning daily
Morning folks heavy storm through here just after 4am, glad I was not in the van.
Helen if you come across another machine you can throw it my way.
Time to think of a couple of days in the van just to turn the wheels a bit. Might be cold but warm just thinking about a stew in the camp oven and a good red under the awning for a couple of days.
Have fun and take care folks. Robert

Re: Good morning daily
Made a start on completing the unfinished veranda decking here yesterday & will do a bit more today. Can't do much before my back starts giving me gyp, so have to learn to pace myself. A little each day should see it completed in less than a fortnight!
Gina appears to have gotten over her hunger strike. Not to sure what it was about, ate enough to keep a mouse alive for 3 days, didn't appear to be poorly, nor unhappy. Past two days she's hoed into her tucker like a good'un. Still don't trust her 100% not to take off, but she is getting the hang of being a 'house dog' & our trust in her has grown considerably.
I went out on a mission to see if there was any water in the creek in which runs through one side of the property this morning, quite a task to get to it, very overgrown & I'm cautious about walking in it after experiencing the Taipan around the house not long ago, so I just took the Quad bike as far in as I could get it. As soon as the quad was started Gina was there. A single word & she was up on the seat behind me, & clearly knew not to get off unless told. Couldn't gey the quad anywhere near enough to the creek line to see if there was water, but the two of us went off the property & found access to the creek. It's bone dry, we walked the creek's length through the property, & Gina only needed reminding to stay with a couple of times when she found wildlife scents irresistable. Coming back on the quad she happily ran alongside me. Back at the house she looked accusingly at me whilst I ate my breakfast, so much so that my guilt saw me retrieve the part chewed brisket bone we had given her last night after she finished her doggie kibbles. After a short gnawing exercise she shut her eyes & had a kip on the veranda including the first time we have witnessed her dreaming! (Actually the first time we've witnessed her sleep!). I finished my gluten free muesli with stewed apple & plum in peace.
Today marks the 14th day of the chooks remaining in captivity. Chookie relationships have markedly improved, but MrsChookExpert has wisely (IMO) decided a third week wont do any harm.
