Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Ray,

Tonight's news: "It means the Victorian border is effectively closed to New South Wales and the ACT – except for Victorian residents returning on a red zone permit for 14 days of quarantine —- and for people with exemptions." Effective 11:59 tonight.

You sound so much better Dot, keep it up mate xxxx

The sun was shining today, oh so good.
We spent a lot of today moving kilns around in my shed to make sure that the power leads were not a tripping hazard. That was fairly physical w**k, but we succeeded. There is a load frying away as I type. Bliss.

“Currently watching The Djoker vs the Italian.
T’other bloque is taking it up to Djoker… a set each at the moment. Nail-biter!
Second late night in a row. Second nail-biter in a row!”

At 0210 they were still 3:2 in the second set … so I chucked it in and went to bed.

Good to find this morning that, despite losing the first set, the Djoker went on to win the next three sets.
I don’t think we’ve heard the last of the Italian…
He pushed Djokovic hard in what I saw of the second set.

Cold day again with only a drizzle of rain. No tennis now and a rest day for the bikes so I baked a cake, George is hovering  Things are looking up for my M8 in NZ, she has an unconditional contract on her 2 acres, dropped a bit but at least she can move to where she wants to and have a mongrel brother free life. :D Time for bed now so stay safe everyone esp those in NSW. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Petels x :D

Dot, the news from NZ is really good. Sounds like a bit kharma may be happening to her bro. Stay warm mate xxxx

Robert, you are so right. The big yard sale near Christmas, may have to become a reality. I am still building things, but at a much slower rate now. It is also making be more of a perfectionist. If not 100% happy with any piece, I am taking the hammer to it or cutting it down and refiring until the results are exactly what I want. Could be a good thing, in the line of quality control. ;)

The firing last night went well-ish. The plate on the top shelf oozed a bit off the shelf and ran down the front of the kiln. It was not a difficult fix, but it's having another warm up now. I chopped off the excess glass, smoothed out the edges and made super sure that it was properly on top of the shelf, with room for stretching all round it. I will be firing a few more lots of flat plates, before I settle back into putting them onto molds. Then They have to have homes found upstairs. Something is going to have to go and it won't be the glass.

nighty night all xxx

As per usual, we didn't get away today to do the off grid job, but tomorrow is another day  Got the new fridge in the Hino, Margaret is a happy camper. Poor Bill Horseman was walking past when Margaret jokingly (she says) asked if I was going to drag the old fridge out and put the new one in ... because I had it tilted forward to get to the wiring ..... so one fridge out and the other one in and Bill could finally escape guilt free

Found a few other maintenance jobs that had to be done as well, like the eye bolt missing from the right hand trailer spring :o adjusted the alternator/water pump belts because they were screaming and belt grip didn't solve the problem  ....... put the new 24v balancer on the house battery ... well it's been waiting for 3 yrs to be done but ya can't rush these things .... sort of run things to do rather than going off to do this job .... so it looks like I'll have to go and do it tomorrow now ;)
