That's what I thought Shirley, don't they dry them out and just use them for decorations?

We are about to leave Alice Springs this morning for the West MacDonell ranges for a few nights.

Hmmmmm, so it's not a big courgette? I just don't know now, whether to cook it or dry it!

Oh, and to Macca.....we are envious....we spent 3 months care taking a heritage property along the Tanami there.... Hamilton Downs....the views were awesome, especially as the sun went down! Enjoy!

Cheers

I believe they use to dry the gourds out & use them for containers, I have seen them dried & painted as decorative things.
Unless they are some type of marrow?? if they are growing in vegie garden one would think that you could eat them.
Cook some up & see what they taste like.

Yups, they are able to be dried and hollowed if you are inventive enough, in my misspent youth some of us actually made bongs outta 'em, lasted for a couple of months at least

Was that pre Orchie bottles days William ;) Not that I'd know anything about what ever it is you're talking about... isn't a bong the noise a gong makes when you hit it?

Is a bong one of those water pipes that gurgles when you suck on it and then you do giggles after you have sucked on it? If so I did that once and that was enough for me and that was just over 20yrs ago (a late developer) and I am still at home.
