Absolute agree Deborah it is cheap crap, We went to get our 6 weekly haircuts today, had to drop into the Big shed for some paint (for my project) and I bought a Hoya while they were there, for once they were cheaper than marketplace and healthier, I do have 2 more of the same but when the flower they are beautiful. On the way home sat the lights were about to turn red so I slowed down but when I looked in the mirror I saw a little white car ready to butt me, the old fart was looking down ?? radio and saw me right at the last minute, lucky he turned off as I was about to ram his feet up his arse. Too many people not watching the roads these days. The 1 tomato plant I got a couple of mths ago has started bearing fruit (Beef steak) the smell is just beautiful but I can't taste them boo hoo. G is back to town tomorrow for another try at the physio, I.m staying home as my friend is coming up 23rd with Brians sparing partner (Rosy) and on the 24th we are taking our little corella Pete to our friends animal rescue place, we have had Pete over 27yrs but she is getting stroppy with people if we have to get someone to feed her if we go away, not happy about it but she will be ok as other birds for her to talk to, plus the roos, wombats, potaroos etc etc and we shall bring her home if she is unhappy. 3am yesterday morning I rang the boys in blue, some turkey had a party blaring out and 3am on a Sunday night is not on. It went silent after 30 mins. Off to bed now, Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Shirley x :D

Good night Dot & good afternoon, no bowls today, it looked like rain this morning & I decided to cancel & lucky I did because it did rain probably enough to stop play, we keep getting severe storm warnings last couple of hours but sun shinning again at the moment.

Dot, good to see you getting some tomatoes finally. Ours have been giving us only a few fruits and now the blasted fruit fly have hit with a vengeance. We have just pulled up all the tomato plants because none of the next crop will be edible. Hope the bus gets a gold star after it's check up. xxxx

Shirley, are you sure we live so close to you? We have been bombarded with stormy heavy rains on and off all day. So heavy was the thunder and lightning, that I wouldn't consider turning the kiln on. We have had a rain watching day and done very little else.

Tomorrow my back will get straightened out by my chiro and maybe then, I will feel like heading back to the shed.

nighty night xxx

Yes Deborah weather is amazing so close & so different, we only had nuisance rain y'day very light, it was mostly overcast & bleak, we have had thunder/lightning storms & very little rain over past few days. It amazes me how often Norah Head & Toukley receive huge amounts of rainfall & it bypasses us.

We've had a wet Spring & Summer (La Nina!), and planted our first attempt at a veggie plot.
The three Tomato plants have made territorial claims on the Asparagus' turf, and the Snow Peas surrendered without a fight.
Problem is, all our tomatoes are splitting before they ripen properly. Suspect a surfeit of H2O…
Next year, the Tomatoes will have a garden bed all to themselves.

Ray

Good luck rehoming Pete. Sounds like it could be a difficult process. Hope all goes well Dot and give the furry ones a nice therapeutic cuddle. xxxx

Did the chiro thing today and was banned from going into shed until my back is feeling a lot better. No shed time today or tonight at all
Instead I did some sorting of various appointments and bookings. Now we can start planning our next escape.

sweet dreams xxx

We loaded pete in her travel cage, all her toys, feed . George sat in the back with her and Flo in the front, Pete talked all the way apart from when she saw a hawk and then she did that screech and that blew everyone's ear drums out the window. We weren't too happy with her intended cage so we told Sally we would leave Pete in her small cage and would bring her own cage up on Saturday.Pete was chatting away to the other birds so she has company. After visiting the wombats, emu's, roos, Koala, 3 beautiful mini bunnies (surrendered) and 3 huge bunnies also surrendered we headed for home but seeing as we had to pass through Mannum we took some banana cake and dropped into the T1 workshop for afternoon tea. Off home,G and I started to spruce Petes big cage up and we will take it to her on Saturday, but first G has to go to the block to pick the trailer up tomorrow. Hope your back is feeling better Deborah, . Time for bed so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Vic351 x :D
