I wonder how it's going?
I guess the cold beer at the end of the day will go down well in this heat!
Hang in there folks.... it'll be all over soon!!

More like
SEVERAL cold beers throughout the day!
We moved in on Wednesday, but furniture was scheduled for delivery Thursday, so we camped in our own front yard in Girt.
(Lucky we're motorhomers...
)
Thursday was 46deg... the poor removalists had to take several breaks to cool down... but they were only on pure Adam's Ale (and ice): alcohol
verboten under company rules.
Friday has been a "What's in this box?" and "Has anybody seen...?" day.
Two-thirds of the boxes have been opened and (mostly) emptied, although not everything has a proper home yet.
One thing limiting us at the moment is the mysterious disappearance of the jar containing the support pins for the IKEA shelving units. Until we find them,
nothing can go into the display units or the bookshelves!
They
will turn up. Probably after we buy a complete replacement set of about 250 from IKEA at an exorbitant price!
Thanks for the good wishes everyone.
Once we're properly settled in
(about 2024
) we'll put ourselves on the C**A MSO list, and issue a general invitation here to drop in... PM me and I'll send the address by return PM.
We're on 1.25 acres - although the 45m driveway is probably the 0.25 acre - so we have room for large rigs. Girt is 13m with Jim in tow, and we can negotiate the driveway & turn around with ease. We have a roundabout in our drive!

As the Bible says,
"That which was lost, is found, and there was great rejoicing in the house."
Now we can reinstall our IKEA shelves and get on with the job.
Pics coming when I can spare the time (and find the camera

).

And as George says,
Put your glasses on Dorothy and you will be able to see where you left things.
Ray,Didn't you listen when Joy told you to write on the boxes what was in them?

Hi Ray,
We plan to be down that way a week or two before Easter. Do you think you will be settled in enough by then for a visit?

Ray wash thou mouth out.
That W**K word should not be spoken whilst my ears are open for reception.
I was advised it would be more of a sip sip in the wineries during the day and then a slurp slurp beside the motor homes and with a sizzle sizzle some where in between after hours.
Was I advised wrongly on these accounts ???????
Hope the move goes well Maties
Regards
Brian
