If a person is told NOT to contact another person that has laid a criminal charge and that person does make contact (by way of sending a card) is that still considered :breaking the law" or what ever term that is used?? Oh I really do hope so

As a former prosecutor the answer is YES they have breached the conditions and are liable for the consequences. The court may take a lenient view of sending a card dependent of what was said in the card however a breach is a breach.

Proving who sent it may be hard, he/they may say you sent it to your self to incriminate him/them?
Bernie.

Think about it!

I am being such a good girl with this issue, but when I was speaking to the nice police lady in the serious crimes branch about this case she told me IT or the spouse was not to make contact with the complainants in any way. To me that means a card. These scum bags do not deserve any leniency IMHO and I thank you all for your in put. The first hearing is mid Jan so will fill you in then, Don't want to jeopardis this as it has taken a good 20 yrs to get this far. :D

If you are talking to anyone in the Serios Crimes branch, Dot, and there are proceedings imminent, I would suggest you do not add anything to this until those proceedings have finished, at least.

(Edit) - The above is a bit ambiguos- I meant simply that I would hate to think of anything at all being used to help said scumbags.
