I received the following text message on my mobile today.

+61476856032
Dear Customer, your National Australia Bank Visa Card is temporary locked. Please visit http://www.nab.com.au- 177.ulk8403.com/ and follow the steps to unlock.NAB-Security Team SMSiD-j4jl3LL.

The word temporary instead of temporarily was the first thing that aroused my suspicion, dialled the mobile no. to be told that the phone was switched off or not in a service area.

I visited the local NAB and they took the details to pass on to their security division.

George

In the past two weeks I have had the sort of text from the ANZ bank, although I have never held an account with them and also one in the same tone from Bigpond, also never held an account with them.
It's a bit like the telemarketing type call that states that the ATO has a warrant for you and you must pay the fine. Apparently some people still get sucked into this.

Edited once.

Maybe you are a bit cleverer than some of the old people that these p***ks are trying to scam out of their hard earned Bernie.
