Spotted this in a local bookshop, and just
had to buy it! The title was inspired by Tony Abbott's mangling of a common saying...
(I think he meant "
repository".)
It's a lot more fun & more readable than the "bible" of journos, Fowler's
Modern English Usage.

I think 'pedantry' (peds, pedals, feet, walking, mobile) should be the opposite of 'sedentary' ( immobile,sitting, seated)
That would be much more better

Was cogitating while on the ride-on this morning...
If you canβt PREvent something going wrong, but can fix it afterwards, do you POSTvent it?
And if someone says to you, βI told you so!β are they a POSTcursor to the event?
What if you miss an appointment and re-book it, is that POSTarranged?
Ah, I got a million of βem, folks... donβt stop me now!
