Re: Panel size
I find it frustrating that there is such a range of voltages in all the solar panels.
I thought most 12v panels should be around the 17 to 19V VOC and 24v around 34 to 38v VOC.
Watts is not so important unless you are mixing brands/types.
VOC of 22.6v is only OK for 12v but if using a 'good' MPPT regulator anything is possible.
Maybe post your intended purpose & what regulator you have in mind?

Re: Panel size
Thanks Bruce, The panel is on a market place site in Bundaberg for free and I was going to pick it up for my SIL who has a block up in the scrub and a couple of batteries I gave him to run a fridge and a couple of lights.

Re: Panel size
Grab it if it's free!! Plenty of cheap controllers will do the job.
Something like this.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/12V-24V-Sol ... Sw4DJaZ9gM
That will handle up to 50V

Or this one if you want temp control as well.
You can get / make extension lead for the temp sensor for better control of charging .
I use 2 of them , one in the van and one for the ute's solar.
