Macerator toilets

Post by sunnykids »

Has anyone used the Macerator style toilet In an RV
Looks like it poke everything down a 25mm hose to the black tank. Do they use much water?

Had one on the previous houseboat. Very good & effective. Uses almost no water at all.
Noisy buggers though & was a bit of a problem for our next door neighbors.
Packed a few old towels around & over it shut it up a bit. (or a lot?)
Keep a stick handy to belt the bigger blogs!!! haha

We have a Tecma Silence unit. Seems OK, uses very little water.
Not sure I wouldnt try a cheapo house one...... only downside is the extra water usage
