You need to use power tools to do a proper job of it.
Hand tools are too slow, you’ll realise there’s a problem before the finger is completely removed.

Ummmm..... well, unless it's knife or other sharp implement .... and a good mate discovered at a young age that cutting detonators in half with side cutters works well for removing multiple fingers in one go ...... He says he now has the advantage of being able to hold a steel rule as a straight edge without having to bend his fingers to get them out of the way, a neat row of digit ends sloping from the pinky finger back towards the thumb so all five digits rest on the rule at the same time ..... he claims to have one of the very early surgical digital modifications that really started with a bang ........

Looks good Phil many years ago I was holding a bit of timber and using the electric planner. Now my little finger on the left hand is a 1/4 inch shorter.
