We’re also on a greyhound owners’ forum.
Lady posted pics of her loopy greyhound.
He refuses to eat from his bowl when dinner is served.
However, he goes to the dishwasher and licks the dirty plates.
Thinking laterally, lady put his bowl on the open dishwasher lid… and he happily cleaned it up.
So now, his dinner is regularly served to him on the dishwasher…

Similar,
Phoenix seems to enjoy his food a lot more when you go the the fridge and get a bowl of something, and, bang and clang it near his dish when getting everything ready.

Bandit just has to hear plastic crinkling or any kitchen cupboard close and he is good to go. He is always up for a feed.
Same as the jingle of car keys, he thinks its walk time.

Coco is the fussiest eater of all time I think. Roast chicken, but must come in the plastic bag from IGA .... can't be too warm, can't be cold out of the fridge, then the first 3 pieces must be carried from the bowl to the carpet mat by the front door, then inspected from all sides, re-sniffed, then eaten .......
Puddin' tat will only eat a special mix of dry food that Margaret has mastered, one tall container lasts about a day and a half. He settles in a spot in his outside lounge house so he can watch the birds as well as checking if anyone goes near his food bowl. I don't even get the clip lid off the plastic container before he appears ......
He also loves to wait till the dog is settled into eating, then just appears and puts a paw on the dog's back. Dog freaks, cat near has a coronary laughing so much and simply does the dash for the cat flap so he is out of Margaret's reach ...... The dog's pay back is to eat a piece at a time on the foot of the cat's totem pole scratching tree, leaving scraps with dog spit on it that absolutely p*sses the cat off big time

*SOME* dogs are smarter than you think.
Our late beloved Beagle was originally our Son-&-Heir’s … until he met & married a lady who disliked dogs.
Thus Beagle became ours.
However, before the relationship, S&H had a housemate who used to tease the Beagle.
Said hound got his own back: he regularly pi$$ed in housemate’s workboots.
