Scene: An American kindergarten
Teacher tells the littlies that she was born in America, so she’s American.
Then she asks the class to raise their hands if they are Americans.
Every hand in the classroom goes up… except one.
“Kathy,” teacher asks, “why didn’t you raise your hand?”
“Because I’m Canadian.” Kathy explains.
“And what makes you think you’re Canadian?”
“Well, my Mother is Canadian, and my Father is Canadian, so I’m also Canadian.”
“That’s no reason!” exclaims teacher, “If your mother and father were morons, what would you be then?”
Kathy smiled.
“THEN I’d be an American!”
