Great hypothetical T1. But unfortunately it didn't happen that way.
The big oil companies killed off the Baker Electric Company in 1913 or so, by acquiring said company, and that was the end of that.
We've kinda got used to motor vehicles with some form of hydrocarbon burning engine over the past 100 years or so.
It's the next generation they need to be pushing all this stuff onto. Most of us are too set in our ways to want to make a change.

If that link was correct, it linked to a drag truck with a Cummins engine.
I don't see the point. I thought we were talking about electric cars.

Did you get 30 secs into the You Tube clip? Self explanatory from there ..... and the comment about why they have gone that way when looking towards the future of ICE power in general, from such a big name player in the industry, says a lot ....
