T1, Have a safe trip, of course it will be eventful. And on time.   Well, safe anyway.

Dot, The door looks good. Is that to keep them in or out of the office :?:
Where did you find it, and was it very expensive?
Cheers

Arrived at Lake Illawarra 10pm last night, unloaded the Kombi, popped the roof up and was asleep about 30 secs later  Ran out of fuel twice, once at Euston but put the jerry can in and it started after a bit of a battle, then rolling towards the servo at Balranald. The motor was running when I pulled up at the pump, but it would pick the fuel up when I tried to restart it, had to tilt the cab at the bowsers to bleed it before it would go again...... most amusing to the older truckies and total bewilderment to the younger ones that such a thing could be done by the driver
Apart from that, a totally uneventful trip, the truck went well, the Kombi stayed on, no water leaks or over heating, very happy chappy.
We unloaded all the remaining stuff Margaret & Brian had loaded into the container, filled the back patio again, just need to cut the metal racking off the side, a couple of bits welded on the roof that held the extra roof sheets on, then set about dragging the container onto the truck.
If there is enough time tomorrow we will track down someone with a container fork lift and get it turned around so the doors are to the rear so we can start repacking it. We only have till Thursday to have the container on and loaded and a fence put up, can't see a problem can you

Spent the morning trying to work out why 960w solar is only delivering 26 amps. All panels appear to be working. Clear skies, and 28 deg.

martin, I think you need an MPPT controller.

I'll just put on my tin hat now and go and into the dog kennel.

Raw voltage is around 19, so nothing to be gained there.
I will get the pen out and write mppt on the pl60 and see how that goes. Pretty sure 3 panels are not properly connected and will check in the morning.

If you cover all but one panel then check the current from that panel, then do the same for all other panels, you can isolate any not performing, as long as this is done under approximately the same solar conditions.
