The time I and frustration I would have saved myself would have probably meant I'd have it finished now rather than half completed.
Terry, assuming you're talking about the Bedford.... There has been a lot of other things you've accomplished during the Bedford build, so don't be to hard on yourself.

Proof reading my posts before I hit the "Submit" button apparently isn't one of them  It did get me looking at batteries and solar a lot closer and to the realisation that at least half of the accepted "knowledge" was based on repeating stuff others had said without ever actually putting it to the test, if they had put it to the test they would never have put their name to it.
At least the Mazda got a bit of a rebirth to the body and an engine rebuild, still need to finish the interior and actually connect up the wiring rather than the daisy chain of extension cords and power boards that are used at the moment. Maybe I should book it in at T1 Lithium and get it done properly

I hear there is a long waiting list. Might be better if you do it yourself, after all.

I've heard similar stories Steve, but at least the job would get done to the actual finished stage rather than the "I'll finish that bit off later" stage

It's all relative.

Just use the floor as the square.

And if you're really serious, one of these to take references and zeroing out a slope..... Great for checking edges that are distance away.

A sheet of 5mm MDF from bunnings provides a perfect square.

What is a square? Is it the same as near enough but fussier?
