Rectifying a design fault In the Liftco slideouts that can see them deploy unexpectedly. Annoying as it could have been avoided if mention was made in the almost non existent instructions.
Fortunately we run with travel locks so no issue and was the kerb side one anyway, but I would hate to have the drivers side one go out with a B dub coming at you, if it caught it, you would be sucked into the side and it would all be over red rover.

That's a bit scary.
Where did they go wrong with the design, was it just a matter of not enough locking devices ?

My old Dad bought himself a big Winnebago, can't remember the name but it cost around $225,000. He was driving along a narrow hwy and the slide side thing came open.
Scared the bejesus out of him, he ended up trading it for a smaller one because he couldn't handle the support phone calls, the need to only use Winnebago approved service people and technology involved. He was old school.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Spent half the day cutting the roof rack off the top of the trailer to see if it made it any better for towing. we don't really use it for anything much and it creates a lot of wind drag, so off it came. I was rather careful cutting the last bit of each leg after the adventure with a shattered cutting disc last time, so I finished off the last bit with a hacksaw. Forgot just how much hard work using a hacksaw was, but clearly remember the shattered cutting disc episode so continued with the hacksaw
The trailer certainly looks a lot smaller now

Latest battery shipment unloaded and stowed away, back wants to know what I was thinking, off home now and the rest of the packing and what ever else needs to be done can happen tomorrow now.
