Dot,
Is that what they call "Bulk Billing"?

Sorry to hear that both of you are incapacitated... :(
It will make the Tenancy hearing a bit of a challenge, won't it?
All the best for your op. And I hope G's problems are sorted quickly, otherwise he won't be able to visit you after 29th.. :D
I'm scheduled to go under the knife on 24th. After that, 6 weeks of no heavy lifting or steep walks... it'll put a large hole in our packing schedule.
Have the unconditional contracts for both houses now. :D :D
It's "sign here lots of times" time.

It is freezing here today. Went to see the little chappie and there he was laying there like a dead duck so here comes fat little grey duck, time for a bed bath, teeth, shave. Now I ring the bell and ask the "student nurse" if they were going to get him out for a walk? , "Have to wait for the physio before we can get him up" But she hasn't been here since he came in and that didn't stop them getting him up last night" !! "Ok" she says so she gets the walker for the fella and off we shuffle for a test run over to the loo and to see how he manages to sit on the loo. Before he is even turned around ready to do the test sit, she has shut the door and was off saying "If you need help just find a bell and ring" So I did the orders and up off the loo and back to the slow stepping trip back to bed. I would have thought the "nurse" would have at least said "Wait until I get back before you attempt to come back as I will be just giving your bed a freshen up" Nup, never saw her again so he got back into bed and ready for his lunch but I think he will sleep for a while after that outing. He is busting to get home but he doesn't realise that it is just the drugs allowing him to finally move a bit . Not seen by a physio since admitted and the Dr has seen him twice so I shall be interested to hear what she has to say tomorrow.. Such is life so they say
Beauty Ray, when are you doing the final move? after Xmas is it? Maybe we could get 3 ops for 1 then? any more want to join the "class chop?" good luck for the 24th as well.
Will do that tribunal thing even if I am in the OT.

Just went to see the G man and left a note for the Dr to send him to the Royal Adelaide Hosp for a neuro exam plus an MRI so we know exactly what we are dealing with.. Thought about it and they have been peeing around far too long without any real answers. Also took little Elly dog up for a visit.. :D :D

Good luck with notes to the doc, maybe a phone call to the ward NUM, might get even better results. At least let it know exactly how lazy the staff are being. They are poorly paid, yes, but laziness in not the way to get the community to help them get some better conditions.
Keep taking your meds too. xxx Thinking of you poor buggas, hope it gets better very soon.

The NUM has been there as long as the others, that's the problem.. There is a higher being to go to and is not a local.. To all those people in those NSW fire areas take care and our thoughts are with you. Yell if help is needed for any of you, never know what might be needed, spare room, backyard, dog cat minding what ever. :D

Dottie,
The Big Move takes place on 15/1/14. So we'll have a final Family Christmas in the house.
And at last we have a table which will (when extended) seat the whole family. Bought it just after Christmas, when DiL complained about being seated at the card table attached to our 7ft pine table ( :? aged 35 - the table, not DiL).
New one is also 7ft, but extends to 9ft when we fold out the leaf concealed underneath the middle. ;)
It's also 9" wider... room in the middle for salad bowls, sauce bottles etc.
Bought 10 chairs with it! And they all fit around the table without squeezing.

Getting back on topic...
I'll be in overnight 24th/25th Oct. Joy will have to come back & drive me home. But I should be in v. little pain...

Sounds like G is in a fair bit of strife.
Maybe you could kidnap him from local hosp and drive him to Royal Adelaide yourself :?:
I'm sure the docs there will authorise an MRI when you present them with the bod & his history.
If the car seat is too uncomfortable, you could put him on the bed in Erewegoagen...
I'd hope that if the rozzers stop you en route, your explanation of why you're being a Private Ambulance would be accepted with sympathy.

Ray

Dot, we are both really worried about you two! Please take care.....and Greg says G MUST have an MRI ASAP....shout and make a fuss! Wish we were nearer. Will be there mid November, will help as much as we can then. Paella will cheer you both up?

Hugs to you both...
Gentle ones...

The Gman has informed me he is coming home tomorrow, he's had enough of it all. He asked the DR to send him to the RAH for an MRI and neuro assessment but she didn't think it was needed "just yet" :o Anyway I have made appointment for Tues with my GP but have also told G if there are any probs before he sees the Dr he will be off to Adelaide in an amb before his head stops spinning. I got a walking frame and a toilet seat riser to make things easier. :D
