Nighty night all. xxx
Yup. Same here.
Twenty-four years in our last house, total of 40 years in Melbourne.
Then came retirement!
Three years on the road and the return to Melbourne was a massive culture shock.
After staying in country towns with populations of <2000, we hit home to find that our suburb had grown from 85,000 to 165,000!
(Now 180,000+)
Drivers were selfish & rude. Took 30 minutes to travel 3km to the shopping strip! SIX sets of traffic lights!
There are five roads out of town; doesn't matter which one you take there are a minimum FIVE sets of lights. One now has seven!
Too much for this Little Black Duck (and the Duck-ess).
Loaded up Girt for another expedition and hit the real estate offices along the Murray
(our preferred 'one day sometime' retirement area).
Found Rutherglen on the second day, made an offer on the third.
Been in the new house a year and a bit...
Happy Little Black Ducks now...
