Heading to Woomera tomorrow, will be watching out for any little green men.
I know it's early for me, but there's nothing on tv and an early start in the morning. So I am off for some reading and ugly sleep.
Sleep well everyone xxx

I suspect they are leaving early because of the circuitous route they are taking. :) :) Port Augusta to Woomera 188km, Port Augusta to Woomera via Port Lincoln 878km.

Ha ha Steve, no circuits here. We just wanted to have a bit of look at the arid desert gardens on our way out of town. So the 188klm were slowed down by a visit to the gardens, which were very interesting.
Sorry Dot, pics and me and computers, no can do. But the salt lakes along the way were very interesting. It's easy to see why the early explorers thought they would find an inland sea, they were just a few millenia too late.
Woomera is a bit weird, no green men. But " here's a map of town, you stay hitched up and walk the 10 minutes to town." Yeah, well we walked for 15 minutes, it was stinking hot and no obvious signs of a town anywhere. So we walked another 15 minutes back to the van. We will drag the van behind us tomorrow and have a look around.

Tired from the walkies, so goodnight everyone xxx

Well, we found the town of Woomera and it was definitely much longer than a 10 minute walk away from the van park. We found it to be very interesting and lots of interesting stuff were all on display. Mostly they were the things that made the news when we were growing up. The old rockets and spy stuff as well as the lunar stuff was really interesting. We were glad that we took the time to slowly check out the museum and the displays outside.
Now we are at Cooper Pedy, and travelling well.
Enjoy the Mannum motor Dot.
Goodnight one and all xxx
