Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, the resort at the rock was on a stay 3 pay for 2 special price. So it was a lot cheaper. We looked all around on our way out and could see no signs of anywhere to free camp, sorry for the bad news mate. The Kings Canyon was the ripoff place. No tv, no phones of any kind and no interweb. Could get free wifi at the actual canyon, but at a place that robbed us $25 PER person PER night and couldn't do any communications we didn't stay very long. Did the helicopter ride in brilliant sunshine, yes it was worth it. Missed all the real rain that has been pouring down Uluru, so that was not so exciting. Now safely ensconced at Earldunda . Could have checked out Curtin Springs, but it looked so r un down and we wanted to get out to the highway before the storm that we were following hit. Just a light show and bit of clapping, nothing spectac at all.
So it's goodnight from the dragon lady xxx
Got up early today 1130hrs then I woke up again at 2pm, did some cleaning in the bus hoping to get away for a few days soon. Think the ride on mower might get a run tomorrow that bit of rain we had has made the green stuff grow again. OK Goodnight everyone x Goodnight Darryl & Annette x

Steve,
I once had a T-shirt made by those people!
After 10 years it had shrunk so much I couldn't wear it... and it only hit the washing machine about three times.
Then I lost 20kg, and the quality of the cloth improved greatly!

Hi all, we made it Alice Springs yesterday and decided that there is so much to do we will stay a while. This really the trip of a lifetime for us, so we are hell bent on enjoying every moment. Today was just a doing chores day and give the town a bit of a once over, grocery shopping and all the domestic stuff is all out of the way now.
All this exploring is very tiring, so it's goodnight from me. xxx
Personally I didn't like Alice when we were last there (about 15yrs ago) just had a weird feeling esp around the post office ?? Might be better this next visit. I have just woken up again from another little nap so am watching the boys in lycra, Belgium looks a very pretty country. Enjoy your trip Deborah when do you expect to be back home? Are you putting some of your wares out at the stops? Just 22ks to go in the race now so I am going to say goodnight everyone x goodnight Craig x

Yes Dot, we are enjoying our travels. Alice is a bit of a grubby place, with a very obvious problem of bored natives with no real desire to find a job. Our govs may have to accept some of the blame for that problem, but it doesn't seem to be going away in a hurry either. We expect to be home in a few more weeks, nothing absolutely definite. I left all the business at home, we are having a holiday. Work will resume almost as soon as we return home. Then of course we will have to head off to Lightning Ridge for their opal festival in late July. No rest for the wicked hey. Been doing a bit of art appreciation today, bought some lovely paintings done by Shirley Namatjira, one of the clan, but very aboriginal in style. Sallies were selling her works for $20 and $30 each. So I am happy to buy them. Definitely needing some ugly sleep tonight, so sleep well you lot. nighty night xxx
