Enjoy the Emerald gravel pits, Dot. We seem to find something different every time that we visit Emerald. Lovely, quaint little antique shop, was this years find.
We drove the highway down to Woolgoolga today. Roadworks all the way and impossible to find somewhere to pull over for a break. We stopped off for a bite of late lunch at Woolgoolga and I decided that I had enough for a day, so that's where we stopped. I decided that I don't want to rush home, so we are staying for 2 nights here. I think I need a sleeping day and I can hear the surf, so it will be therapeutic. Too cold to swim though.

So off to dreamland here, good night one and all xxx

Well, how's busland today Dot? You don't seem to be rushing to get away from there. Have you visited Sapphire and the lovely people at Armfest to try the sapphire prospecting? We loved that place and we found quite a lot of sapphires in the tiny rocks that they gave us to wash too.

I had a lovely sleep in today and bought some stronger drugs, so my cold is now under control. We will move on again tomorrow, but only as far down as North Haven (a little bit South of Port Macquarie). I am trying to slow the return home down a little bit more.

Well, looks like I beat Dot again tonight... that's amazing.
Pulled into North Haven Caravan park (it's a very big spacious park) and had booked for three nights, just to keep us off the roads on the weekend.

Anyway, lovely lady tells me that we can pay for three nights and stay the next one free, So booked in for 4 nights now, don't know if we will stay the extra one or not, time will tell.

It is absolutely freezing here, so I am off to thaw out,

Stay the extra night Deborah it's free and you won't be home earlier. I have my filthy feet soaking before I hit the sheets and it is nice and warm Had to watch the Vic footy players beat the all stars cuz my old Bomber Tim Watson was their coach and dirty Wayne Carey was the all stars coach.. Dot, I agree with you on the stay the extra night, but I am having trouble getting the roady to agree on that one.... he wants to get home to see how much extra work he has to do? As usual I am in no rush, I know how much extra stuff will be needed to be done. The list is endless, so no need to hurry is my motto.

Guess who won? We are now back at the lair. The drive down the highway was uneventful until the radio told us that the road was blocked due to a grass fire at Morisset. So we took the Toronto turn off, that gave us at least an extra 20 minutes driving, but we avoided the grass fires and arrived home safely.
All this driving the country side is very tiring, so good night one and all xxx
