Finally succeeded in making next years calendar. I love Vistaprint, but how is it that the $10 calendar deal ends up costing $25? Oh yes, add some postage, GST and a few little extras like stronger paper. I really think that they should not be advertising calendars for $10! I really do love my personalised calendars, it's like a memory book with all the best pics of the year before and the quality is so good that you could never toss them away.All this swearing at the computer has me tired, so off to bed for this little black duck.

I spent the afternoon packing up the business crates, all ready to head to Hornsby for our final market of the year. So I will be off now to get some shut eye cause it's an early start tomorrow. We have an hour's drive to get there and start setting up by 11am then the fair is between 2 and 8 PM. So it's a really long day, but I am hoping to see some customers and making some spending money for Christmas. Car is all packed and ready for take off, so it's a goodnight from me xxx

Thanks for the good petrol wishes, to no avail. It was a very slow day/night and we are now deciding whether to return to Hornsby next year or not. It has not been a very profitable place at all for the last 2 years, so unless a miracle happens, we will probably give the place a miss for a while.
I was suggested to try another kind of craft fair in Newcastle, but after having a serious look at the costs involved, I think we will just stick to what we currently know are worth doing.
So here speaks a very tired/worn out dragon lady on her way to bed

Dot, going shopping tomorrow then?

Had a weird day, doing the shopping for the Christmas cookie baking. Aldi dont have mixed fruit or glace cherries, or even condensed milk. So still had to go to coles after the aldi shopping expedition. Oh well, now the planning for the bake a thon can commence! It really becomes a bit of a marathon, with two ovens on at full speed and the trays coming into and out of each oven at tremendous regularity. I managed the chore over a couple of sessions last year, so I think that will be the plan again this year. It wasn't quite as daunting as trying to get it all done in one day. So that's whats happening here. One exhausted dragon lady!

Gee, you get around a bit Peter. I suspect that we are going to a smaller Aldi. It's close to home and is rarely crowded, but obviously it has some product limitations.

Looks like tomorrow will be the starting day for the baking. I was domesticated today too, cleaned the house etc. I miss my little caravan, especially when I have to do the spit n polish here. I took the kitchen floor rug outside, scrubbed the cr** out of it and then hosed it clean. It does look like a new rug now, but it will take a couple of days on the clothesline to dry properly. A domestic goddess, I am not.
