This really hot weather is so draining. Anyone would think it is summer or something!
I spent more time than planned in my shed today. I just got carried away playing mud pies n stuff.

I am off to get some ugly sleep now, so have a good rest you lot,

Had another stinker here today. It finally dropped to 25degrees around midnight. It is so exhausting. Anyways I have eyelids to inspect behind, so good night from me xxx

Another stinker here today. Was well over the hundred in old money, and stayed that way for most of the day. Finally around 6pm the skies came crashing down and the noise was horrendous. The lightning and thunder were right on top of us. Then the thunderous rain started up. It was very consistent and noisy for a couple of hours here. Sounded like we had a months worth of rain in an hour.

Thankfully we had finished packing the van by then. The fridge is all that's left, so a quick get away is planned for the morning. We are off to our usual family Christmas in Forster and hopefully the weather gods will be kind to us this year. Last year it was a total heatwave in a drought. The year before, we had to vacate our site early due to minor flooding (our site was under a foot of water at the time). So I figure that this year should be about time for some good weather, either that or it's time to re-evaluate where we go for Christmas.

Thanks Dot, we did travel safely and now we are here!

Forster is a little bit damp, but hoping for some sunshine for Christmas. We have set up the van and will start setting up the tent for our daughter and her family later on tomorrow or Saturday when the kids are due to arrive. So all the fancy lights n stuff will be starting to get unpacked tomorrow and let the season get off with a sparkle!
