Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Okay Dot, you have the warm milk and I will stick to my chocolate port. You better do what the quacks tell you to, or you will feel guilty with every mouthful. xxx

After planning for another day in the shed, I ended up doing a mate a favour instead. I had offered to make her caravan curtains a while back and she heard about the spotlight sale. So off we went, but before spotlight, I took her to a place that makes curtains and sell off their left over fabrics cheaply. Amazingly, the first thing we looked at, she fell in love with and the total for the fabric was $10. Each roll was $5 and one roll of patterned fabric had a bit over three metres on, and the other plain fabric roll had about 8 metres, so we will have enough to make a bunch of curtains and some matching cushions as well. After we bought the track and threads at spotlight, her curtains all up, will have cost her $25, not bad at all. She wanted patterned curtains in the bedroom end and plain ones in the lounge area, so this will work really well. Tomorrow i will sow them and make her van more unique, especially where jayco put stupid end curtains that dont cover the whole window, with blinds in between. She will be able to have the blinds and windows open to get air in, with a curtain for privacy.

So its a tired dragonlady tonight,
goodnight one and all xxx
Deborah

Dot, we all have our talents. I certainly could never do fences. xxx

Shirley, it's now worth the drive to Tuggerah. Spotlight is upstairs and beautiful. Their sale was really worth the petrol. Rivers are also in a new, bigger shop, still upstairs though. Their sale was good if you wanted a flanny jacket or boots, I dont want those things, so saved my dough for another day. Seems to be a bit of regeneration of the supercentre, so it may become a place to be seen soon.

Most of the curtains have been finished, but under duress. My poor old sewing machine decided to throw in the towel and just refused to keep on going. I had half of the curtains done at that stage. It's motor has crashed. I thought it might have some of it's 25 year warranty left, but the paperwork says it was bought in 1990, so just out of warranty. It does not owe me anything. I really do work my sewing machines hard. So I brought 1 1/2 pair home to finish tonight on my embroidery machine...no embroidery done on them, but they look better finished than the morning ones. I will return tomorrow with the working machine to finish the job. I need to be onsite to get the bathroom ones perfect. They will be a work of art, plain on the top with a bit of floral border....I ran out of floral just after cutting all the main curtains. So we have a success story, but a PITA as well.

All this stressy stuff is tiring, so off to a warm bed,

night night one and all xxx
Deborah

Up early today 1pm  Just can not wake up enough to get out of bed. The sun was out today again and Gman decided to murder some fruit trees with his special way of pruning  OMG shall be lucky to see any sort of fruit this year  Need a simple recipe for a vegi soup and also a beef or chicken soup. Has to be really easy as the Gman will be doing it ;) So now time to hit the sack have been up as long as I can now. Goodnight everyone x :) goodnight Wendy G x :)

Dottie;

Peel your potatoes, carrots, pumkin, slice the onoins, chop some mushies
Oil them up and roast them in the oven

Then, drop them into a big pot,

add beans and greens , a bottle or two of your favourite spag bol sauce.

add a some liquid vege stock. 0.5 - 1 litre depending

add some dry herbs, AND some nutmeg.

I like some olive paste and chopped up sun dried tomatoes.

If you want a heavy meatier taste add some dry Porcini mushrooms.

Even toss in a handful of some small dry pasta.

bring to the boil then simmer on a long slow heat.

Mush everything up.

For chicken, buy half a roast chicken, chop it up and toss it in. The tomato base is ok
