Made it safely back to Lake Mac, after a 1 degree start to the day. It isn't that cold here, so it's all good.

We had a great start to the day, for our traditional post trip sleep in. The demo crew next door started hurling the roof tiles, while standing on the roof, into a skip down below at 7Am. We tried to ignore it, but impossible. So got up and went to have our 6 monthly blood tests instead. By the time that we returned home, the roof was naked. Then it was off to have the steroid injection in my knee..ouch. It's still numb, so time will tell.

After lunch, the builders were still banging the new roof together, so we took off again. This time to Boolooroo (long way round the lake) to visit a sewing machine doctor. The jayco ladies had nothing nice to say about the guy that I was planning to see next week and several have had good experiences with the Boolooroo man, so that was a no brainer. He says it will take 2-3 weeks, not happy, but it's at least being put on the waiting list.

Thanks for the suggestion Shirley, couldn't find him and the Boolooroo man is from Thorpes in Newcastle, where my Mum bought her first pfaff machine back in the 50s. So the company has a good reputation, but sadly not still owned by the Thorpe family.

Dot, you cheeky thing you...we wont have a fencing competition this week huh? xxx

Instead of having a long sleep in, I dashed down to the shed at 7am to turn on the kiln. twenty minutes later, I was back snoozing in the warm bed. A much more civilized start to our day. I rested the knee, as per instructions, and it is feeling ok (touching wood) . So today was a restful day in the lair with just a little bit of excitement watching the kiln heat up. Will have a look see tomorrow to find what has been successful or not. It was too hot to really see what was what tonight.

So off to the lovely warm bed again, it's fairly chilly here now..must be winter.

Just for you Dot, I been back in the shed. The stuff in the kiln is looking interesting and I have started on the adding bits of metal to make the glass usable. Hope all is well with you xxx
