I hope that all of you that actually made it to Loxton had a great time. Camp oven stew is always good, even when it's not! But that is really quire rare. I hope that you all enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Cheers

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Bet that stew felt like you were eating at a fine dining establishment. Great news Dot xxx
Today we went to an oyster and woodchopping festival. That was fun and interesting. afterwards we payed some disc bowls, had a few happy hours, the rains came, so back inside and all's well. There wasn't a lot of heavy rain here, just enough to make us return to the vans. We ate so well at happy hours, that a slice of bread n butter was enough for dinner tonight. Masterchef, eat your heart out!

A bottle of red, some toasted marshmallows and a box of choccies finished the night off but Ross's dog Becka did chase our pussy cat Miss Evie.

There is nothing like John & Faye's camp oven evening meal. Poor Miss Evie. John we have managed to obtain a half drum like yours but have yet to try it out- we will have to make do with only the one though.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Still away Dot? Rest up and enjoy the company. xxxx
We woke to the news that more flooding at home overnight with several large trees down around town again. We intended to stay until tomorrow, but I needed to know about our damages. So we came home early and found the house is fine. We suffered a couple of losses in the garden with a huge grevillea and a large Mr Lincoln rose bush totally uprooted. Apparently the wind was the worst it has ever been, according to long term locals. So the grevillea and rose have now been heavily pruned and re-planted with extra stakes and supports, and now we just have to try to keep them safe for a while.
This has been a day of garden madness and now sleep is looking good.

Storms are amazing, we had no damage locally from the storm on the weekend just leaves & a few small branches on the ground & we live so close to you Deborah, we didn't even get much rainfall, they seem to pick a path & move thru, glad you had no damage to the house, the garden will grow again.

goodnight Pet-els x
where ever you may be. Was a very warm day today but we made it to the local open garden mostly roses but a bit of a shame they didn't have them named so now it is time to hit the sheets.
Heading towards home tomorrow.

Oh Dot, don't rush home just yet. The holiday was starting to sound very relaxing xxxx
Shirley, your news is just weird. We had over 3 inches of rain since last Friday and we are only across the lake from you! You are right about the garden, our damages were very small compared to many of our neighbours, and our garden will look better in no time.
Had a day cleaning out the jewellery velvet display boxes. It seemed to take up most of the day. What a PITA!
sleep tight, goodnight xxx
