Had a hot day in my shed today, it was pretty hot going. But I needed to make up some cufflink and tiebar sets. I sold a few last weekend and it's formal season. All the lads are wanting blues this year (like they do every year).So I made a few different blue sets up and now have a couple of shelves to fill in the kiln before it can be fired.
Off to get some cool sleep, so night all xxx

Unfortunately Dot it does take a long time for area to recover from radiation treatment, hope all results in 2 weeks are 100% good.

Had a busy time in my shed again today. Did a couple of shelves for the kiln that were purely experimental. I put sparkly stuff under clear glass, just to see the results. Another was a middle layer of glass that was a weird shape, to hopefully encourage the top layer to fall down onto the weird shape and give it some unusual textures etc. So until I open the kiln after firing tomorrow, I will not really know what to expect.... interesting times are ahead.

Bugger me, more hair is departing the scalp Went to the dental clinic today, he gave me some fancy toothpaste and I also had to do a "saliva test" apparently my spit is good quality but just not enough. Headed for the bed on getting home and have just woken up to say goodnight everyone x goodnight Wayno x

Kiln was fired today, as predicted. Now I have to wait until tomorrow to open it, because it's way too hot in there at the moment. I tried to make up a couple of fancy sandwich plates and business card holders, while the load fired. So been a busy day in my shed, air con that is solar powered is wonderful and was essential today.

Had the kiln emptied and re-filled today. Then I spent the rest of the day sticking bits on to make various pendants, earrings, tie bars and cuff links. That was the last of the w**k firings for the year. Anything else will be for my pleasure or experimentation. Boy it was hot here today!
