Thanks Peter,
By coincidence, Saturday Age has a review of Grunske’s as part of a food tour in Bundy.
SWMBO has been trying to book the tour online, without success. 😩
We’re heading to the Botanical Gardens now, then to the Tourist Info Centre to book the Food Tour, which probably includes Grunske’s.
👍😁

EDIT:
Had lunch there today (Sunday): Seafood Basket.
YUMMY! (Also noticed the correct spelling. )
Planning to book the Foodies Tour tomorrow (out of time after long lunch ;) ), which visits "seafood suppliers" and a place we noticed is next-door to Grunske's. So it's likely we'll be visiting either Grunske's cafe or their seafood market as part of the tour... looking forward to that! :D

Tour booked! :D
(Monday)

Ummm, Shirley,

Hate to tell you, but Bargara has moved on... just a bit.
It now resembles Surfers Paradise. :x
Lots of boutique coffee places & trendoid shops, and the beachfront is almost 99% five-storey holiday apartments! :o :(

You can even see the apartment blocks sticking up on the skyline from The Hummock lookout, about 10km away! :?
Toured the back streets... even there, you find multi-storey blocks of holiday units.
WHY? There's no beach where the Esplanade is so built-up. A small patch of sand around the bay a bit, but if all the occupants of the units tried for a swim at the same time, it would be standing-room only!

Thanks for the update Ray, we will need to check it out, actually we never liked living in the area but do wish we had kept the motel site that we owned, after spending a few years in Cairns, we found it very uninteresting, only place we found to go that we enjoyed was Coonar Beach, needed a 4x4 to visit in those days.
We lived in a high set Queenslander, only black rocks opposite our home but the boys did enjoy looking for baby turtles amongst them.
We found the whole area & surrounding area to flat, The Hummock is the only hill if you can call it a hill :D.
Many back streets in Bargara use to flood after rain.
Shirley & Bruce.

GIRT'S PARTS HAVE ARRIVED IN AUSTRALIA!!
:D :D :D :D
We're on our way home from our Bundaberg Break, currently overnighting in St George ( :) or is that 'St Goerge' Bruce?  )
Tomorrow it's "Lightning Ridge or Bust!" :P
Reckon we'll be able to collect the parts on Monday/Tuesday, then have to wait for filters (ordered today) to arrive before heading to Loxton.
They will be dispatched tomorrow. Past orders have arrived in 4 days. Fingers are crossed...

John,
I'll phone you to confirm our arrival date.
Same accommodation as last time... this time with lights. ;)
I'll also alert Max.
Give Girt a Big Hug for me, please.
I miss her. :(
Regards & God bless,
Ray

That's really good news Ray! Now you've had your holiday without Girt you can advertise her for BnB?
I hope John has cancelled all forward bookings? lol.
I'm never going to live that spelling mistake down I reckon.... hey George? lol
You going home & then to Loxton or going direct on the way home? (Ray?)

Looks like Girt may still live for another trip. ( If the parts are right :D ) I was getting quite used to walking around her in the shed and I have not taken any airbnb for July so all is well. Will move her into the sun for a day to give the batteries a charge.
Cheers John

What? You have sun?
OK, looks like Wednesday may be a nice sunny day to give out batteries a big top up & balance job.

John,
We have to go home (via Canberra for rellies), drop our luggage, then drive 200km to Wallan to collect the parts (it's a long story  ), then back home to pack for a short stay before heading west to Loxton.

Housesitters have agreed to hang around with The Hounds until we bring Girt home.
So Miss Evie can relax (this time ;) )...
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Miss Evie will appreciate that. Girt had a nice day in the sunshine to charge the batteries. ( note the lovely Riverland blue skies )
Cheers John and Faye
