YAAAAY!!
We FINALLY have a winner! :P
And yes, it's beside the single-lane bridge over the lake.
Anyone walking into town from the free camping area would have to walk past it on the left.

Your turn, David.

Ray

Thanks Ray, It was just a matter of time, town by town up the Newell.

Has anyone been here lately?

:D :D :D

Thanks, Bruce, I enjoyed that video!

However, the flying Spit's registration number is different to that in David's photo (RG-V not ZP-W), even though it appears to have the name 'Grey Nurse' on the nose. Text with the video says it's the A58-60, though... I'm confused. Is Temora playing fast & loose with registration numbers?
:?

So on the basis of serial numbers, I reckon you've nailed it. Eh, David?

Ray, You have it in one guess. I thought the Grey Nurse would have everyone on the Temora track.
It is Darwin. The only place in the southern hemisphere that you can see a B52 bomber with a Spitfire under it's wing.
So it's back to you.

edit: I have just watched the link that Bruce put up. It claims the same reg no. but I didn't think the one in Darwin was airworthy. I definitely took that pic in the Darwin Air Museum.
So Ray is still the winner.
Cheers

Thanks, David,
I was confused by Bruce's video red herring. I thought I remembered being similarly impressed by the fact that a Spit could sit under the wing of a B52 with room for another one! Also thought the B52's tail insignia looked familiar. Thought my memory was faltering again.
What did you think of the caravan made from a section of DC3 fuselage?
People were truly inventive post-war, when they basically had nothing but scrap to work with.

OK,

Here's another war leftover. A bit hard to shift it to a museum. :? You have to go to it.
But where do you go to see it?
