Late good morning, 18 cloudy, we had a little rain o'night & the clouds look very grey & full of water, so hopefully we might get some more rain.
Bernie my Mum was only 5ft & one couldn't slide the seat forward enough for her to reach the peddles so Dad welded up extensions which just slid over & could be easily taken off
the only time that she was ever booked was when Dad told her to over take & she didn't get back in before double lines.

Good morning, 16 cloudy, sun is shinning too, we didn't get anymore rain y'day from the moisture laden grey clouds that hung all day, we could do with a decent fall too.

My mum made the front page of the Ncle Herald when she became the first woman in NSW to gain her motorcycle license. I think it was some time in the late 1930s. She would have been about 18~19, I think. She rode dad’s Rudge Ulster to get it, and complained when he bought her a scooter!
I remember in about 1955 we still had the scooter in the back of the garage. Cast aluminium body was badly corroded, and dad had ‘repurposed’ the motor.

Good morning , had a visit from some motorhomers yesterday just a day visit as they were behind on their schedule , they have a boat to catch to get back home....
