Today was a better day. We did the washing and shopping and had a lovely lunch at the services club. I cooked toast for tea, we really have eaten very well this trip.

Yesterday: cold, overcast, showers — a miserable day. We lit the fire at 14:00.
At 01:00 outside temp was —1°C!
Today: bright & sunny. Have not felt the need to light the fire, and it's 22:15. Outside temp is 12°C!
I guess it must be Spring...

Heading for a warm bed — a little early. Had a busy day.

Have not been able to get onto the forum or anywhere else for the past couple of days. Spent a couple of nights with Bob n Bev always a great time with those two and snappy Jacky Dribbled along for a while and spotted a nice looking gravel pit and decided to make that our stop for the night. Nice and warm to boot but the road was a bit noisier than most. Sunshine and no head on wind saw us arrive at Riverlanders place around lunch time. Had a BBQ tea and as it got cooler we decided that inside was the way to go. The old house is starting to show what she will look like when finished but so far the place is lovely. So time for me to say goodnight everyone x Goodnight Tanks & Mr Major. x

We moved a tiny bit South today and landed at Mullumbimby (sort of Byon Bay 20 years ago and no beach) Last year, we stayed here at the showgrounds. We had power issues and had a fused power lead when we left there. So this year we chose to try the sports ground same price and so much nicer. The sites are big and well defined, the power boxes are all newish and its right beside the river, so all happy here. They are using our payments to build a new ammenities block that will also include a laundry, so well done Mullumbimby.

It's so chilly now that I need to move into the electric blanketted bed, so good night one and all. xxx

Had another lovely day in Mullumbimby, both weather wise and touristy stuff. Thought we could visit the crystal castle that I had heard about, but after researching it, I found that they imported all their crystals and really they had no significance to Australia unless you want to know about shacras or weirdo stuff. Anyway, it;s getting chilly again now, so off to find a warm bed now.

Nearly home Dot? travel well xxxx

Did a bit of domestic stuff, cleaning and grocery shopping. Then we had to visit the Middle Pub for lunch again. Beef cheeks were so melt in your mouth yummo, and a huge serving again. A complete meal for $15 is such a rarity that we couldn't leave town without having another visit. Tomorrow we are heading towards the coast. So an early start.

Just on 20 degrees outside at 08:00am this morning.
How time flies when you are having fun. Dot & George were at the Dysart Bunker in July and already it is now September.
Almost Xmas again.
