We left Yamba this morning, after hearing that the nearby bushfire was getting closer to causing problems for the town. We chose the right time to be gone. The winds have blown back up to almost hurricane speed, so it was a slow trip down the coast. The fire that we have been avaoiding is called Shark Creek 2 fire. It has become a huge fire, so we are glad to be away from there. We are now at Nambucca Heads, visitting my sister for a couple of nights. The only sounds that we can hear are the waves crashing on the shore. Sounds like a treacherous night on the ocean.

Those fires are so scary, hope they get control of them soon. More weed spraying done today and also a chiro visit and off for a hair cut tomorrow. Next week sees the start of the Dr visits again, eg 1100hrs The lymphoedema clinic 1400hrs the Oncologist , GP for the 2 of us 1630hrs and 1700hrs. Brian has reclaimed his territory much to Rosie's disgust So it's off to bed for me so Goodnight everyone x Goodnight WayneP x

Dot the scariest thing about the bushfires is how they have been started. It seems that the North coast is populated by some dark skinned families whose children are starting the fires. There are many similar families with wonderful children, but it only takes a few to cause so much heartache and dangerous conditions for all around. xxxx

Our nephew is a copper in this region. He visited us today and told us about the problems they are having with the handful of children who seem to be running wild and have no respect for others. It just goes against all the care for country stuff, that we believed was part of their ethos. Did a few family things today and then went out for a Chinese meal with my sister.

Very scary for sure, so much heart break is the end result for humans and animals. Oh I wish I could have a nice Chinese meal actually any meal would do. Had our haircuts today then home to do more weed spraying which if the weather is ok shall do that tomorrow. Time to hit the sheets so goodnight everyone x Goodnight Pet-els x

Dot, you still suffering from the Accidental running over of the familly of Chinese people? Sometimes, I reckon health issues are not dealt out fairly at all. It should be that crappy people only get the awful problems, not lovely people like you mate xxxx

Today we drove down to Bulahdelah and found the showgrounds. Nice place to stay for $18 per night. They only have power and no water for hooking up to. So we made the mistake of arriving with empty watertanks. Luckily we found a tap that we were allowed to fill up with. So now we have water in the tanks and power. Not too shabby at all. Except that it's freezing. 11 degrees that feels more like zero because were are out in the open. Time for me to find a warm bed.

We arrived at koala shores and it's not as cold as last night. Lovely catching up with some of our jayco mates and more to arrive tomorrow.

My bad luck day was yesterday, fell backwards onto a pile of bricks, hit my head and between the shoulder blades, couldn't get up and had to wait for G to come out side to pick me up. Did a bit more weed spraying then got told to go lay down and being the obedient wife I did just that and woke up 4 hrs later. Still in the bus don't want to go in the house now. Anyway goodnight everyone x Goodnight Toolman x

The 13th was a painful day up here also. Had to have a stress/echo test in am after falling backwards from tripping over a cord ( time to take electric blanket off bed maybe). Landed on butt and worried about new knee more than anything. Thought I might have got a Greenstick # of wrist but all good. By the time we got home was really painful down right femur so back to walking stick. Not as sore this morning so assuming no fractures. Dot I had a softer landing than you-on carpet.
