Hi Terry, I'm afraid Ol' No 7 is looking a bit sad :( Cobwebs all over her nooks and crannies, bifold door wont close, coz it has gone really stiff from not being used. Battery is near flat, but we can crank her over with the solar battery, she needs a bloody good run to get everything charged up again and blow the cobwebs out. Unfortunately with Mike being in and out of work for the last 6 months, finances are extremely tight and we just cant afford the $900 for the rego, let alone the insurance!!!
Hopefully after Christmas ( no one will be getting pressies this year!!) we might be in a better position to start playing with her. Need to get the gas system assessed as per your analysis and hopefully get that running more efficiently. Need the jets in the carbie looked at as we think the guy that built the engine may have put larger ones in to get more fuel into the bowl (Bit of a rev head me thinks) Would love to upgrade the ol pad and drum brakes, but will cost a small fortune, and power steering would be great. Not sure how we would go about that though.

Heading over this way at all Terrance???

ya know jenny not having power steering isnt too much of a drama, just need to execise the muscles more. after driving the school bus all year with no power steering the big red bus doesnt seem so bad any more lol.

unfortunately the Old No 7 has a steering wheel the same size as the wheels!!!! it is harder to turn the wheel when your arms are about 2 feet apart!!!

think im a bit short for that joke dottie - straight over the head lol. having a bad head day too so im not suprised i missed it. the kids gave me a real trying time this afternoon, felt like bashing some heads together.

jenny my school bus is twice the size of big red and i had trouble in the begining of the year doing the dead end turn arounds but now its easy peasy and big reds wheel is huge too. round and round and round it goes before you get anywhere but all good. i do so hope your situation gets better this coming year so you can fulfill your no 7 dreams.
