Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

2am thought by BBA

Post by Macca »

We have been having trouble getting the correct size rope for the sailtrack- one too big & one too small. 2am this morning-no he did not wake me up- he realized that in the first place we should have just gone to our annex maker & bought the welded plastic stuff that they use for annexes & awnings. Just came home with that ( $20) as well as the new shoes. Not game to look at credit card.

You have seen plastic bags that appear to have the edges melted together, that's plastic welded. There is also a form of plastic welding that uses a hot air blower and a filler rod of thesame material as being welded together. The object is the melt to two pieces and add more plastic to make a uniform strength joint.

There is another type of plastic welding where metal is heated yellow hot and the two ends are overlapped and bashed together on an anvil, re heated, and the process repeated, this is the general thing used in the wild west blacksmith shop scene, it's how the outer metal rim of the wagon wheels were joined, no arc or oxy welding back then.

Aren't you glad you asked
