Wayne,

please make sure the flywheel is balanced and then the new clutch pressure plate is balanced.

I balanced the Isuzu's flywheel and pressure plate. It's amazing the difference in smoothness it makes.

Have they found a new method of attaching it to the crankshaft and attaching the pressure plate?

haha ... also make sure they put a ring gear on Wayne!!! A bit hard to start otherwise!
Was the old ring gear OK? Maybe move it several degrees so it engages in a 'new' area.
I would think they would know enough to have the new clutch plate & pressure plate at the shop & balance it all as a unit.
I bet you are getting a bit keen to get moving by now?
No more slipping the clutch to back into tight spots!!!

EDIT: welding it Terry? lol

The flywheel has to be balanced individually. Then, the pressure plate can be added and balanced.

If they are balanced as one, then the balance will be lost if the pressure plate is replaced.

A big ask these days, the off grid solar system we recently finished upgrading was last installed by a supposed "off grid solar expert" and wasn't even close to being anywhere near the requirements as far as choice of cabling, cable size and separation between 240vac cabling and 48v cabling. We made the error of assuming the last people knew what they were doing and we could just link into the cabling they had used, so our quoted install time was not even close to the time it actually took and that threw out our costing and work scheduling.
