Re: Battery
I'm guessing that means you didn't disconnect the battery and remove the fuses ..... or is that why nothing works now

Re: Battery
You need to use the single cell charger on each cell until the red light stops flashing on the charger. By that stage the Junsi should read the cell voltages and you can reset the system if yours has the battery isolator Gigavac as part of the control system. It should now be ok to just plug the power in and recharge as normal through the on board charger and turn the solar back on and let that recharge the battery as well.Mrcoolabah1au wrote: βThu Dec 12, 2019 7:28 pm Yes did not get down to do last month

All the cell voltages will need to be higher than 3.45v before the 100% SOC shown on the Victron BMV will be accurate. One of those annoying things Victron did for the US market, they couldn't handle the SOC just having dashes across the SOC screen until the battery reached 100% SOC again

You might need to use the single cell charger again as the battery approaches 100% SOC if a cell runs away to over 3.6v and the T1 Lithium control box stops the charging. Connect the single cell charger across the lowest cell while the mains and solar are still charging the whole battery, disconnect the single cell charger when the low cell reaches 3.6v before the others. If another cell takes over being the problem cell, repeat the low cell charging until the mains charger and solar controller stop the charging before any cell reaches 3.6v.
You might need to repeat this process after a few weeks if you notice the out of balance voltage (the number on the right hand top corner of the Junsi) regularly goes higher than 150mV at the end of charging. Just charge the lowest cell again till it reaches 3.6v while the solar is still charging the battery.
Don't do the single cell charging to balance the battery if the solar is not still charging the battery because the clouds have come over or the sun has gone down, wait till the solar brings the battery back up to fully chargd and a the out of balance exceeds the 150mV mark, then resume charging the lowest cell. If the out of balance doesn't exceed 150mV, put the single cell charger back in its box and back in the cupboard before you create an even bigger problem

Remember, the single cell charger has the black alligator clip on the cell negative and the red alligator clip on the cell positive, plug the charger in and turn it on, the light on the charger should either be flashing red, be full read, or no light at all. If the green light is on, either one of the alligator clips is not making contact, or you are trying to charge the wrong cell. If there is no light on, remove the black alligator clip from the cell negative and then put it back on, the red light should now either flash or be on full red. If there is no light, either it is not plugged in and switched on, or you have the alligator clips on the wrong positions.
.
Number 1 cell on the Junsi is the battery negative cell group, the end with the big black lead that goes off to the negative junction block, cell 4 is the cell group at the positive end of the battery where the big red lead goes off to either a fuse or the control box. If there are heavy cables joining cell groups together, just count the groups starting from the battery negative till you get to the cell number you are looking for by following the series links where a group positive is connected to the next group negative, this is the start of the next cell group. All the cells in that group are seen as one cell by the Junsi and the system, so a negative and positive anywhere within that group will charge all the cells within that group, you don't have to charge each single cell, just the 4 groups.

Re: Battery
If you don't have one you can buy one from either us or Marcy at http://www.thebackshed.com/basiclynatural/default.asp You will need to solder the alligator clips on to the wires, black goes on the brown wire and red goes on the blue wire. I think Margaret has a section on how to use the single cell charger on the web site.Mrcoolabah1au wrote: βFri Dec 13, 2019 11:20 pm No do not have any fancy bms mate you replaced the home made one Jaycar and a Kemo timer will the junsi and victron

I think the new version went live yesterday, so anyone looking at it, can you let us know if there are any glitches etc
