Just like Caravanner forum, even by email address is black listed I'd have to use Margaret's email address and computer and to be honest, I just couldn't be bothered any more. It's not like that forum was good for business or even generated a single customer. I even gave stuff away for free to members that needed it, so it wasn't just free information.
In this case it really is their loss and my gain, and maybe this forums gain because people doing Google searches looking for T1 Terry will only find posts here that relate to RV stuff now. The only other sites are the Kombi Club forum, the Electric vehicle association form and the Prius forum. I've made a few reply posts to articles on the 3 solar quotes blog, but I doubt I'll last long there, I keep tearing them a new one (but in a nice way) about the crap they write and the antics of rooftop solar installers

My response , I dont give free quotes ... do the job or nothing... 9 times outa 10 , OK Joe bloggs gave me your # , see ya on Monday to do it...

But I look at the local rag Messenger plummers ads ...

I asked for recommendations for a fencing quote yesterday, had some replies so contacted the local guy, he lives just a few doors up from the block so he came down looked at the job and said his wife would drop off the quote in the morning. It is now 1400hrs of that morning and still waiting. Apparently people don't need or want work???

But in all seriousness, I think I'm fighting a loosing battle in the RV world, might be better to shift my efforts to off grid and semi off grid house installs, not some many armchair genius in that market place and they all take a long term view rather than the next trip away .....

T1, For over ten years now you have been banging your head against a solid wall of 'Holier than thou', because so many of us old farts in forum land have got nothing else to do but argue the point about something of which we only know a snippet of info.
I know that you do it with the best of intention, but sometimes ' you just can't help stupid.' Some people just don't want to learn......

Obviously Strathalbyn is too big now. You're used to big-city type responses from tradies.
In small country towns (which I think/hope Mt Pleasant still is) "tomorrow morning" usually means "sometime in the next week".

That was a Saturday Dottie, did you actually expect a fencer to put down his cool drink to write a quote on a Saturday? He probably lost track of what day of the week it was when he suggested the quote would be available tomorrow. If he hasn't been wandering around the fence line Saturday afternoon, don't expect to see the quote before Tuesday at the earliest, as long as it isn't so hot there on Monday that the cool drink is a higher priority than wandering around your block of land.
