Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good whatever, Dot. XXXX

I have lost track of time and days. It has just been constantly black here for a long while. We are the next little town along from Charmhaven, where the huge fires were last night. We were threatened with evacuations and were ready to move if necessary. It was so dark all afternoon and the winds were just horrific. So we feel like we have been to hell n back. The good news is that while Wyee was evacuated, we stayed safe. I stayed up watching for ember attacks until 3am when the firies said the fire was being controlled and we could relax a little.
Stay safe wherever you are,
sleep well too xxx

Wow that would of been scary Deborah, hope your van is ready to go if it happens again. We have a fire about 20ks from us but it was got to pretty quick. I am getting the bus all set for if we ever get to that stage as you never know with these fires and nutters that light them. Just hope they are out very soon but I think we may be in for a long run. The heartbreaking stories of the animals caught up in the fires just is gut wrenching. Time for bed so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Wayno where ever you may be x :D

Yes Dot it was terrifying, but we are ok, that's all that matters. Dont play with matches, my Mum used to say xxxx

Our volunteer firies have done an amazing job. So far there has only been 2 houses fully burnt down and a few more seriously damaged. There has been a few more small fires breaking out and the firies have been right there to keep them down. We finally had a few spits of rain. Not enough to dampen a fire, but enough to clear the air. So now we are breathing again without our face masks.
I'm hoping for a bit more solid sleep tonight, so night all xxx

Hope that cool change comes to you soon Dot. xxxx

Helen, thanks for the offer, we are ok. Just a bit spooked that's all. Stay safe at Morisset.

My not so evil, sister arrived today after being evacuated from Huskisson where she was tenting. She drove straight through, so is exhausted and stiff. I did a bit of fast cleaning the house in preparation for her visit, so with us being a bit wrecked tonight, we had toast n peanut butter for dinner. The catering in this joint is leaving a bit to be desired.
I have a nice caravan man coming on Monday to give us some ideas to make our caravan steps safer. Since we raised the van, I have needed two lots of different height steps added, next to the van. He does all sorts of motor homes, so will hopefully come up with better ideas than we have had.

sweet dreams you lot xxx
Deborah
