Been awhile since I've been on here.

Happy New Year.

Getting to ready to get mobile, very soon.

Just rearranged my gas bottles, so was investigating why my gas Hot water wasn't working.

Cleaned out all the lines, had a lot of muck in em.

The remove bit and noticed I could not get air/flow through it.

It appears at one end to have some adjustment???

Anyone have any experience with this and is it likely this part is available.

Is that the jet right at the hot water burner?
Which hot water system is it? A Suburban? What model?
It's possibly a very low pressure valve. If you can unscrew it you may find a very soft spring in there.
Clean it all & reinstall. Did you try hitting it with 100psi compressor? Probably can't blow in reverse direction without pulling it apart.

I soaked the adjustment screw in lubricant as it wouldn't budge.

Having finally removed the jet observed no spring.

Seems as though it was screw all the way in, now I've got it mobile does anyone have any clues on what might be the correct adjustment.
Probably a valid reason why it stopped working.

Did ya count the turns when ya undid it, now ya have cleaned the crap out, put it back the same number of turns.

Looks like a flow restricter, put it back and play with the flow to get it back to how it was if ya can remember, the more flow, quicker ya use all ya hot water...

Hasn't worked for ages.
I counted the turns on the way out, doing the same back in and tight as it was.

Have no idea why it was turned all the way in.

There must a recommended start setting.

Are you 100% sure there was no hole through it?
Here are some specs.
Specifications

Jet orifice size 0.89mm

So according to that you should get a whisker through it!!
Try probing it with a very fine needle? If there is a small piece of 'crud' like a copper shaving it may be hard to see it.

Just saw this. Looks like the 'orifice' or jet is a fixture in the burner tube? Does that look similar?

No bruce its just like a carby jet that seats into its home.

Its the outlet that leads into the gas tube.

So there must a starting adjustment, I was hoping for some insight before I start fiddling blind.

I think I'd just buy a new tube that (apparently?) has the jet set right & fixed into it.

I can't help wondering if that isn't your problem though. If 12V isn't getting to the 'on' bits that open the gas & activate the igniter then it might be another problem?
Can you hear the clack, clack, clack of it trying to light up?

The port to check the gas pressure? Every device has one.
