mp4 files

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

mp4 files

Post by native pepper »

I've been sent some mp4 videos which would like to show here, but it says the format is not supported on this site. Is there a way to overcome this little problem.

In the past I've used a program to reduce the size & turn them into an AVI format.
Thanks Bruce, they are 159 bytes, will go down that path and see how I go.

They attached, but that's it. Tried converting them but kept getting there is no content in media file. Was sent them by a friend in Columbia via email and they work in my email and computer, also emailed them to a friend and they worked for him. I use linux mint 19.3 and have never had any trouble converting videos to any format. Even downloaded some up to date video editors and got the same reply, no content. Have spent most of the day trying to convert them, it's been pouring here all day so had the time.

They were in regard to the coronavirus and showed what and how the chinese eat wild animals, which included purchasing then chomping of the head of the live animals and eating them live. Along with bat soup and eating live mice, which they just drop in their mouths and chew, yuck no wonder they have this virus.

Thanks Bruce, will see if can do something with them over the next day or so, if not them's the breaks. :?

Yep. Doesn't seem to work. Honestly if they are that small I suspect the content has gone somewhere.
I use WinFF (https://www.videohelp.com/software/WinFF) to convert files but it must be the way you are getting them out of the email perhaps?

PS. Was in a lift today with about 10 other total strangers. No one was speaking and everyone was very uncomfortable in that closed environment.
I erupted with "I hope no one has the coronavirus" ...........
Well everyone THEN had plenty to say!!
One old chap said "wouldn't be much point having the virus as no one has toilet paper ready!"
PPS. I was glad to get outta there!!

Thought I'd fixed it, but no although got the content into it and have another option to tackle. Hope can get them right, as they are well worth looking at.
